Negotiations Update - Tentative Agreement Reached

Re:             Negotiations Update - Tentative Agreement Reached


Our Negotiating Committee has reached a tentative agreement with MTS on a revised Collective Agreement.  Key aspects include:

  • Three-year agreement
  • 2.0%, 2.0%, and 1.75% on base salary
  • $80 every two years for eye examinations
  • Remote working call-out pay minimums
  • Compressed workweek
  • Agreement on contracting-in
  • New (i.e. new to TEAM) employees: Three PLDs
  • New (i.e. new to MTS) employees: Three-week vacation entitlement will start one year later, capped at 6 weeks
  • There are no changes to PLDs, vacation and overtime for current members

The Negotiating Committee is recommending acceptance of this Agreement.  Information meetings and ratification vote details to follow.
