Re:          Negotiations Update

Our Collective Agreement will soon be up for re-negotiation and TEAM's preparations are well underway.  The 2012/2013 round of negotiations was very contentious, and while we will be ready for another tough round, we are hoping that new leadership will bring a new style that is respectful and mutually beneficial.

The Bargaining Committee has been formed and we are pleased that it is broadly representative, with members from many areas of the Company, including the regions, young members and long-term employees.  The Committee has met several times to review some of the main issues, and will be coming to you in the near future to hear your concerns and to gather your thoughts and suggestions.  They will then compile the high-level proposals for presentation to the membership at our Annual General Meetings on November 4th, 5th, and 6th.

The Communication Action Network has been revived and we have started to meet with the Communication Action Representatives (CARs).  Feedback from CARs clearly shows there are significant concerns to be addressed in this round of negotiations.  If you would like to volunteer to provide two-way communication between TEAM and colleagues in your area during negotiations, please contact the office.

If you have thoughts on the workplace and the upcoming negotiations and want to share them now, email [email protected].

Thank you to all the members who responded to the call for volunteers for the Bargaining Committee and to be a part of the Communication Action Network.
